The Iran Project
On January 20, 1981, 52 American hostages left Iran after 444 days in captivity. Since then, Iran has largely disappeared from the consciousness of most Americans.

The Iran Project examines the changes in modern Iran. The project includes a one-hour public radio documentary, "The Struggle for Iran," and this companion Web site.

The Iran Project is made possible by the Stanley Foundation. "The Struggle for Iran," hosted by Walter Cronkite, is produced by Reese Erlich in association with KQED Radio, San Francisco.
